5(2x + 1) = 7x -41

You use the distributive property to solve this one by doing 5*2x and 5*1.

So then the result which would result to:

10x + 5 = 7x -41

(Then subtract 7x from each side and subtract 5 from each side too)

3x = -46

( Now you divide 3 by -46 to get x alone)

x= - 46/3

Then simplify:
x= -15 1/3
