Slope : m = -z

To find:

The point slope formula.

Solution:

Point slope form: If a line passes through the point [tex](x_1,y_1)[/tex] and having slope m, then the point slope form of the line is

[tex]y-y_1=m(x-x_1)[/tex]

The line passing through the point (3,4) and having slope -z.

Putting [tex]x_1=3,y_1=4, m=-z[/tex], we get

[tex]y-4=-z(x-3)[/tex]

Therefore, the required point slope form is [tex]y-4=-z(x-3)[/tex].
