Acceleration a = force / mass

= 40 / 80 = 0.5 m /s²

initial velocity u = 20 m /s

a = 0.5 m /s²

time t = 5 s

displacement s = ?

s = ut + 1/2 a t²

= 20 x 5 + .5 x .5 x 5²

= 100 + 6.25

= 106.25 m .
