Given :-

  • y = 2/5x - 1/3

To Find :-

  • To convert the given equation into standard form.

Solution :-

As we know that the standard form of the line is ,

[tex]\sf\longrightarrow[/tex] ax + by + c = 0

So the given equation is ,

[tex]\sf\longrightarrow[/tex] y = 2/5x -1/3

[tex]\sf\longrightarrow[/tex] y = 6x - 5/15

[tex]\sf\longrightarrow[/tex] 15y = 6x - 5

[tex]\sf\longrightarrow[/tex] 6x -15y -5 = 0

Hence the required equation of the line is 6x -15y-5=0.
