The translation we are given involves the moving to the right in 2 units, and down in two units in order to get to the image.

Then we can write these transformation as:

(x, y) --> (x + 2 , y - 2)

Notice that point B (3, 1) ends in point B' = (5, -1)

aand the transformation is perfectly represented by the rule above:

(3, 1) --> (3 + 2 , 1 - 2) = (5, -1)

The same is true for all other vertices (A, C, and D) of the figure.

Make sure you type "+2" by the "x" in the box provided. and "-2" in the box by the y.
