The way to find an unknown is to isolate it. 
n+14(-14)=15(-14)
n=1
Then we can check our answer by plugging it into the equation.
1+14=15
15=15
So n=1.

If solving to get n alone:

First: You would subtract 14 from both side to where your n would be alone.
