The length of a rectangle is 2 in. more than twice its width. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 28 in., find the dimensions of the rectangle.

Length = 2+w
Width = w

Perimeter = 2length + 2width
28 = 2(2+w) + 2(w)
28= 4+ 2w + 2w
24= 4w
6 =w

width =6
length = 8
