Volume of Cylinder = [tex] \pi [/tex] * (radius^2) * height

The problem says to use 3 for pi. The radius is half the top of the cylinder, which is 2 in / 2 = 1 in. The height is given to be 12 in.

Our equation becomes...

Volume = 3* (1)^2 * 12 = 36 in^3
